“There it is… done.”
Another successful experiment. This time it was small-scale. Nothing more than a minor speed adjustment to a mouse. Hardly the sort of grand remodeling that would be expected of the illustrious Youka Naze… but then again, this had been a timed experiment. About the speed of the job, rather than precision. Nevertheless, it had been done well. As expected.
Still, the halls of the Hanokiwa school were silent now. Of course. Everyone would be at home, except for the odd wanderer. Probably even her younger sister and the rest of the student council were here. She didn’t smile thinking about them, of course. What the bandaged scientist was actually thinking about was whether they were off doing something ridiculous again.
Which, of course, she would follow.
“Na—” one step, ”—ze—” two step, ”—chan!” As if a countdown to her leap into the air, she threw herself at the aforementioned without delay.
Accompanying her abrupt greeting was a grin - the effervescent smile that she wore in her friend’s presence. She knew that while Youka remained unphased by her glee, the joy was more than likely mutual between them. She understood the way their friendship worked.
However odd it was their personalities were in stark contrast, Itami (nor Youka, for that matter) didn’t seem to mind. They both found happiness in completely different things. While Youka may have found interest in less rambunctious activity, Itami did not.
And she wouldn’t stand for anything boring.
“It’s quiet, it’s quiiiiet!“ She took the liberty of clutching the other’s arm, almost with the desperation a nagging child would for its mother. ”What’re we going to do, Naze-chan?”
She said such in a way to enforce that her presence would be, more or less, permanent for the time being. Itami wouldn’t allow being brushed aside at times where everything screamed the need to be brightened up!
